The fact is that it is our humble contribution to the GREEN REVOLUTION that transformed the fresh fields and pasture new. We seek pleasure in placing our following varieties of potato at your disposal and crave for your constant patronage.

KCM (A-2708)

The name "KCM" is an abbreviation for Kufri Chandramukhi, which was developed by the Central Potato Research Institute (CPRI) in Kufri, Shimla in 1967. It has an oval shape, smöoth skin, and shallow eyes. The skin is white to tan, and the flesh is dull white. It is an early-maturing variety, taking approximately 80 to 90 days to develop. The average yeild is about 80 - 100 Qtl per Acre. It has a firm, smooth, and waxy texture. It offers a mild, earthy flavor and buttery notes. It has good storage qualities and a slow rate of degeneration.

KUFRI PUKHRAJ

The Pukhraj was developed by CPRI in 1998. It is oval to oblong with smooth, golden-tan skin that may have small brown spots and shallow eyes. The inner flesh is firm and creamy yellow. The flavor is mild and earthy. It is easy and quick to cook. It is not considered a suitable variety for processing into chips or French fries. It is early-to-medium maturing variety, ready for harvest in 70-90 days with high average yield potential of 140 - 160 Qtl per acre. The variety shows high adaptability to varying climatic conditions and soil types, making it suitable for cultivation across many states of India. It is resistant to early blight and moderately resistant to late blight, which reduces the need for chemical treatments and promotes more sustainable farming.

KUFRI JYOTI

The 'Kufri Jyoti' is a popular and widely cultivated potato variety in India, released in 1968 by CPRI. It is valued for its mild flavor, good yield, and adaptability to a variety of growing conditions. It has oval-shaped, smooth white to creamy skin and has a waxy texture. The maturity period is of 90-100 days with an average potential yield of 100 - 120 Qtl per acre. It is good for chips and French fries and also making it idol for Curries and Stews. It is Moderately resistant to early and late blight.

KUFRI HIMALINI

Kufri Himalni is a high yielding and late blight-resistant potato variety. The average yield potential is 120-140 Qtl per acre with a maturity period of 110- 120 days. The tubers are oval to oblong in shape, with smooth, white to light cream-colored skin. They have shallow eyes, which makes them easier to peel. It has pale yellow to white flesh and excellent cooking quality. Its texture is firm, and it has a mild flavor. It is suitable for a variety of culinary uses, including boiling, baking, and frying. The variety has good keeping qualities, with excellent storage life.
